Which are better porcelain or composite veneers?

Dental veneers are casings of tooth-like material custom designed to fit your teeth. These casings can cover and fill in gaps between teeth, fix uneven alignment, and repair chips and cracks. This creates and enhances a beautiful, white, evenly proportioned smile.

This method of cosmetic dentistry is incredibly effective in fixing most dental issues, including the following:

·         Wear and tear from age, causing chips and cracks or an uneven appearance.

·         Worn enamel due to genetic predisposition or bad habits, i.e. smoking, coffee drinking, etc.

·         Genetic issues like gaps that increase over time.

·         Uneven tooth alignment from natural wear and tear or teeth grinding.

There are two basic types of veneers that can be applied to your teeth: porcelain veneers or composite resin. Both can be developed in a dental laboratory. However, composite resin veneers can be developed inside your mouth at the dentist’s office. In either case, when developed in the laboratory, these veneers need to be bonded to the teeth through a resin cement of some sort. Porcelain veneers are considered to be longer-lasting, and therefore more expensive.

Bonding can be considered an option for many people with minor tooth problems – small chips and cracks. However, when dullness and severe wear and tear become a problem, dental veneers may be considered an appropriate option for a long-lasting solution. In the same vein, teeth whitening may be recommended if your teeth are discolored but still in good shape. Veneer application is a permanent alteration of the teeth, and should only be considered if your teeth are severely damaged.

In addition to its aesthetic benefits, veneers also provide benefits to the health of your teeth. If applied to a damaged tooth, it can protect the surface and preserve what is left of the tooth. There are also some cases where a veneer can satisfy the need for a dental crown, which can spare you from more invasive tooth preparation that would be involved.

Veneers may alter your lifestyle, depending on the application. In some instances, a change in diet may be recommended so as to decrease the chance for damage to the shell itself. The shell is very durable; however, it is thin, so certain uses may cause damage or break the casing, i.e., grinding teeth in your sleep or eating hard, crunchy foods. Your dentist may provide you with a type of mouth guard to protect your teeth while you sleep.

Dental veneer application generally is completed in two dental visits over a six-week period. Depending on the patient, visits can last up to several hours for tooth examination and preparation. Local anesthetic is usually administered, although some dentists do offer sedation. Post-operation, tooth sensitivity may be heightened for a day or two, but beyond that there is generally no recovery necessary.

Give Back with Gift Baskets

Has someone gone out of their way to make your life better – personally or in business? Don’t let your karma get out of whack by forgetting to give back! Few things are more important in life than giving thanks and praise where they are due, and doing this properly requires thoughtfulness and creativity. Thankfully, it isn’t necessary for everyone to be a Martha Stewart to give a thoughtful and creative gift. Hundreds of companies have popped up on the internet that make saying thank you as easy as typing in your credit card and clicking “order.”

Indeed, the thought that goes into making a gift basket and the thoughtfulness of sending one is sure to win you points with its recipient in addition to points with the karmic powers that be. Gift baskets can be tailored to each recipients’ (or sender’s) taste. Whimsical wino? Send a wine gift basket with a notable wine from Napa, Burgundy, or Bordeaux paired with a cheese. Cheerful chocoholic? The best gift basket stores have baskets choc full (no pun intended) of chocolates made by some of the world’s premier chocolatiers. Even pet lovers will be pleased by baskets full of treats for Fido – bones, freeze-dried livers… you name it!

I was recently lucky enough to be on the receiving end of a gourmet gift basket. What a palate pleaser! Chocolate, cheese, jams, crackers, wine, vinegar, olive oil – all these came together in a flower elegantly decorated with flowers. It looked so good that I dreaded having to actually open it. That’s when I realized that the next time I needed to send a good thank you gift that I would send a gift basket online.

But what about the price? Some online gift basket stores are more expensive than others – that’s just the way things go online. And obviously, sending a gift basket from an online store isn’t going to be cheaper than assembling one yourself. But doing it yourself would require trips to dozens of stores to put together the same assortment of products, not to mention a keen eye for arrangement and expert skill at packaging and shipping. In the end, if you’re really looking to convey how thankful you are, the money you spend on a gift basket will offer a high return on your investment. And before you know it, everyone will be pulling strings for you in hopes of being thanked with delectable gift baskets!

Why an Independent Financial Planner is a Smart Option

Hiring an independent financial planner is not an option that many of us consider, for a variety of reasons. Some of us feel we make better decisions on our own. Others do not think that they have money problems. But hiring a financial planner is a smart move for many, and here are a few reasons why:

Someone from the outside can see more clearly.

Probably the most important reason to hire a San Francisco independent financial planner is that he or she will not be emotionally bound to your money. You have emotional reasons for some of the money moves that you make – a planner will not. Your planner will be able to objectively tell you whether or not you are making a smart decision with your money.

They are more educated, financially.

Financial education in this country is mediocre at best. How many of us truly understand how to analyze our money choices and make coherent, intelligent decisions? A San Francisco independent financial planner is experienced in the money world, and knows how to maximize the return on your investments.

Two heads are better than one.

Logically speaking, having more input on your financial decisions allows you to consider options that may not have occurred to you before. Your San Francisco independent financial planner will have ideas you have not thought of, and can push you to think harder and consider more options than you thought.

SEO Company

It seems that with the yellow pages obsolete marketing has definately shifted to search engines and the use of search engine optimization. For those unfamiliar with the term, search engine optimization is the practice of streamlining your website content, the links inside of it, the categories (if you offer more than one topic) and images to represent one common goal. That goal is to create relevance in search engines and position your content for being returned as a relevant result.

The process is time consuming as it must be managed and as a result of which, this has led to the creation of SEO companies. These companies specialize in either creating or rewriting your content and removing any obstructions your website may have that prevents it from getting listed in search engines. Without being discovered, there is no listing to concern yourself with, so the primary role of an SEO company is continuity, then after that is achieved, it is about promotion using other sites or social media networks to find interested parties searching for products or services such as your own.

TV production

If there's one thing about the Florida area I know well, it's the TV production scene. After starting and selling four small businesses and producing dozens of commercials for TV, and even a TV pilot ("Bob Fixes Anything"), my experience with companies in the area is extensive. I definitely second any votes for Breathless as the best local TV producer - they are second only to doing it yourself after you take the time to really learn how to get things done. For the money, hiring a professional TV production company rather than hiring your own crew makes a ton of sense; just watch the commercials during local news to understand why. You need professionals, professional equipment, and professional know-how that will guarantee that your production is first-rate.

Video production company Miami

Can anyone recommend to me a good video production company? Miami seems to be lacking any kind of competition or diversity in this service area. My small business (a tool company) is looking to produce a few 15 and 30-second spots for the national TV launch of our products. I've been referred to a company called Breathless Video in the past - I hear they do good work. Can anyone second that? Many thanks in advance for any help!

Florida video production

I am looking for someone to help me shoot a new TV commercial in Florida. Video production experience of 5-10 years is preferred. There are very few video production companies in southern Florida, so any help putting me in touch with a good producer, director, or production company would be greatly appreciated. My budget is small (less than $10k), so I would prefer a smaller, startup-type operation or else an affordable company. Many thanks in advance for your help.

Personal injury lawyer Chicago

I didn't go to law school expecting to become a personal injury lawyer. Chicago was, after all, where you went to become a supreme court justice, or maybe a class action litigator taking on populist causes and reaping unfathomable awards from them. But it just so happened that fate, in the form of a slippery floor at O'hare airport, led me to take personal injury and the complaints of those injured by negligence a lot more seriously. I suppose that sometimes it just takes a good knock in the head!

Chicago medical malpractice lawyer

I just had plastic surgery (breast augmentation) and a lot went wrong. A vein was cut that had to be cortarized without anesthesia after the anesthesiologist had left causing me tremendous discomfort and asymmetrical results. I am looking for a Chicago medical malpractice lawyer so that I might recover some money that will help me to fix the damage caused by first surgeon's incompetence. Has anyone heard of Kroot? My friend once mentioned that they helped her when she fell and hurt herself on the job. Anyone's advice is very much appreciated. Thank you!
